Master Cosmetologist/Loctician and founder of Shea Locs Natural Hair Studio; Vernice Samuels was raised in Baltimore, Md. At the age of 20 she was part-owner/loctician of SAMOR Natural Hair Salon located in Baltimore City. In 2005, she relocated to Atlanta, Ga to complete a higher education in business.
Vernice has 20 years of professional experience with cultivated locs and natural hair of all textures and wave patterns.

Monokia is a powerful award-winning speaker, author and brand manager, with more than a decade of experience working with some of the top brands in the nation. Utilizing her experience working with some of the most brilliant brands in the nation, she has successfully opened 8 brick and mortar businesses. Monokia is on a mission to help first generation entrepreneurs and creatives create generational wealth for their families.

Brother Nance has a diverse background that includes educational leadership, community organizing and business development. Mr. Nance specializes in developing the whole person when providing services that impact the direction of a person life. Mr. Nance believes that student support for the adult learners is a key component for success at Shea Locs University.
